Film that cuts cooling energy for the life of the glass, on glazing you already own — and what the published research actually says about it.
Where Spectrum film comes from, how each construction is built, and the standards every roll has to meet.
Spectrum Window Films is a manufacturer and distributor of high-performance automotive and architectural window film, built for the heat and sun of Southeast Asia. The range covers automotive tint, paint protection film, and residential and commercial architectural film — trusted by installers across Indonesia and Malaysia to deliver comfort, protection and style for vehicles, homes and buildings.
Window film isn't one product with different darknesses. The three constructions in our range are made by genuinely different processes, and that's what decides how each one handles heat, how it looks, and whether it touches your signals.
Carbon is ground to nanometre scale and dispersed through the polyester itself rather than laid on as a dyed coating. Dispersion is the hard part: get it uneven and the film hazes. Done right there is no dye in the construction at all, which is why the colour can't break down and shift purple.
Metal is vaporised in a vacuum and deposited onto the polyester by sputtering, in layers a fraction of the thickness of a human hair. Layer thickness is what sets both the reflectivity and the infrared performance, so the deposition rate has to hold steady across the full web width.
The same nano-carbon chemistry tuned for transmission instead of darkness — high infrared rejection with visible light left almost untouched. The tolerance for haze and optical distortion is tightest here, because there is no darkness to hide behind.
Spectrum film is produced on modern coating, sputtering and lamination lines, and distributed through our regional network under Agni Sentral Motor. Every production batch is tracked from roll to warranty card, so the film on your glass can be traced back to the run it came off — which is what makes a 5-year warranty something we can actually honour rather than a number on a card.
That traceability matters most when something goes wrong. If a roll develops an issue, batch records tell us which installations are affected and which aren't, instead of leaving every customer guessing.
Haze and distortion are checked against the clear-glass baseline. A film you can see through the view of is a film that failed.
Accelerated weathering on samples from the batch. Carbon and metal constructions have no dye to degrade, and the test is there to prove it rather than assume it.
Peel strength and dimensional stability, because most film failures customers actually see — lifting edges, bubbling, silvering — are adhesive failures, not optical ones.
VLT, UV, infrared and total solar energy rejection measured shade by shade, using the methodology the industry uses, so our numbers read straight across against anyone else's.
We hold every product to the same standards: true colour, long-term durability and optical clarity that doesn't distort the view. That commitment doesn't stop at the factory. A film is only as good as the hands that fit it, so we work with 66 authorised installers who share our approach to service — from choosing a shade to the final wipe-down, and for years afterwards under warranty.
